So what exactly are eyelash extensions?Haven’t you heard? Semi-permanent eyelash extensions are a year-round ‘must have’ for the fashion conscious! Lash extensions draw more attention to your eyes than mascara alone, and 24/7, so you’ll look fab when you wake up, after your workout, in the office, on the beach… One lash at a time, i will frame your eyes with a long, thick, luxurious set. Single strands of high quality synthetic lashes are applied onto your natural lashes to enhance and extend. I will create a bespoke look, using a variety of extensions to build the right volume, length and curl for your unique style.

How long will my extensions last? With proper care, your extensions will last 4-6 weeks. You should expect to shed most of them throughout the growth cycle of your natural lashes. Mel lashes recommend coming by for infills when your extensions begin to look sparse usually on the 3rd week. Be warned, lash extensions are incredibly delicate – so give them the effort they deserve! Exposure to steam or extremely hot water, and touching, picking, or rubbing your lashes can weaken the adhesive bond on your extensions also damage your own lashes.

How long does it take?Perfectionist here at Mel Lashes. You can expect your procedure to be meticulous, concentrated and precise. From design through application, the process will last approximately 60-90 minutes.
-
How do I care for my eyelash extensions? To keep your lashes looking gorgeous as long as possible, Mel Lashes recommend you follow your therapist’s aftercare advice. The key points: Avoid contact with water or steam for 24-48 hours after your appointment to allow the glue to cure. The longer you wait, the better! If you must shower, clean around your eyes and avoid getting water onto your lashes. Avoid exposing your lashes to prolonged heat, as this can weaken the bond and cause your extensions to fall off. No steam rooms, saunas. Avoid using oil-based products around your eyes.

What is Ombré brows?Ombré brows a procedure categorized under permanent makeup, but unlike traditional cosmetic tattooing, it is less invasive. Typically lasting 1-2 years before beginning to fade, depending on skin type and skincare routine. The procedure is done using a machine tool with ultra fine needles gently etching pigment into the skin, giving an incredibly natural and realistic look.
-
What is the Process of Ombré brows? Here at Mel Lashes we spent about 15 minutes laying out where i would tattoo your brows with my own mapping technique using wax-covered strings for accuracy, as well as hand-drawn lines. Even if your brows have a nice natural shape, our goal is to fill in bald spots and even them out, With a machine involving small needles the powder look is given.
-
Will the process hurt & how long does it last? The process does not hurt, numbing cream is provided upon request. Ombré brows last up to 1-2 years, top-up should be done 4weeks after initial appointment to complete the ombré effect.

What is the healing process like?Over the following few weeks, the tattoo starts to shed slightly, which is a completely normal part of the healing process. I advised you to not wash your brow area for 3 days, after clean the area with an unscented soap morning and night, and apply an antiseptic ointment. After about two weeks, your brows should be completely healed and looking like you lightly filled them in with a pencil.
